When Nestor is in Rio  ( August – April ) he gives capoeira classes Mon., Wed., and Fri., from 7 PM to 9:30 PM at the Galpão das Artes Urbanas, rua Leonel Franca without a number  (it is in front of the Planetarium, underneath the highway of the Lagoa-Barra Tunnel, at Gávea neighborhood).

When he is travelling  (normally April-August) the graduated teachers of the Escola Nestor Capoeira give the classes.

Classes consist of:

•	30 min. of playing (or learning to play) the berimbau, atabaque, pandeiro, and singing:
•	a stretching and warming up done by all;
•	movement improvisation exercises, done by all;
•	capoeira training and exercises, when different level players do different series of exercises (the levels are: absolute beginners, beginners, medium, advanced);
